Overview

Gedeon GRC Consulting was selected as a sub-consultant for General Engineering Consulting (GEC) services for the civil and structural engineering discipline for the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) and its subsidiary, the Port Authority Transit Corporation (PATCO), throughout its districts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Task orders may include civil engineering, structural engineering, port/marine engineering and constructability services, as well as other related work.

Project facilities include DRPA’s four major toll bridges crossing the Delaware River — the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, Walt Whitman Bridge, Commodore Barry Bridge and Betsy Ross Bridge — including bridge facility office buildings, maintenance facilities, garages and other structures in the vicinity, as well as the 14.2-mile PATCO line with thirteen stations and its administrative and maintenance facilities.

Representative assignments

DRPA-PATCO, Westmont Station, Haddon, NJ — Structural engineering services supporting the construction administration phase and repair of the station head houses and platform: review of existing construction documents, on-site structural assessment of the existing station and platform, preparation of a findings report, review of the proposed construction schedule, design-team meetings, and construction administration services including shop-drawing review and site visits to observe construction progress.

DRPA-PATCO, Collingswood Station, Collingswood, NJ — Structural engineering services supporting the construction administration phase and repair of the station head houses and platform, including review of existing construction documents and the proposed construction schedule, attendance at construction-team meetings, and construction administration services including shop-drawing review and site observation visits.
