Overview
As part of an engineering services agreement with the Incorporated Village of Hempstead, Gedeon GRC Consulting, as a prime consultant, provided engineering design and construction administration/inspection services for roadway improvement projects at various locations in Hempstead, NY, including:
- Florence Avenue from Jerusalem Avenue to Robinwood Avenue
- Bedell Avenue improvements from Stevens Avenue to Dover Place
- Laurel Avenue design improvements from Peninsula Boulevard to West Graham Avenue
- Wellington Street and Remsen Avenue roadway improvements
- Reconstruction of Elm Avenue, Maple Avenue, Harold Avenue and Westbury Boulevard
Scope of services
The scope of work involved design for drainage, storm sewers, manholes, water mains, catch basins, house connections, pedestrian crossings and complex pedestrian ramps, sidewalks, curbs and gutters; driveway aprons; utilities; grading; pavement markings; Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT); trees, shrubbery and landscape design; agency coordination; compliance with NCDPW/NYSDOT and relevant codes; preparation of bid documents; construction administration; and construction inspection for the roadway work.
